FAQ
If you are needing someone to talk to we are here to help. When a life event, mental health condition, addiction or emotional concern affects someones ability to function therapy is aways recommended. Working with a licensed counselor can help you understand what you are feeling, what may have contributed to why you might be feeling it and help with ideas and techniques on how to cope.
Therapy is confidential. Each licensed therapist is legally and ethically required to maintain confidentiality. The Law that provides guidance on this is known as HIPPA. To ensure everyones safety there are some exceptions to the rule when it comes to the well-being of the patient or other people in the community. For example, if your therapist has reason to believe that you are a danger to yourself or others, or if there is any concern about abuse, neglect or exlpoitation he or she must engage other entities in order to make sure that you and/or others are safe.
We have therapist that specialize in working with many different clinical areas. This includes children, adolescents, adults and seniors. We assist with many issues which include but are not limited to: Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Grief, Family Issues, Marriage Issues, Relationship Issues, Career / Vocational Stress, Parenting Stress, Emotional and Behavioral Disturbances, Addictions, Aging and Medical issues impacting someone's mental wellness. Please call us to discuss your needs in more detail and we will let you know how we can help.
No, our therapist do not have the license to prescribe medication, but they can get you in contact with someone that would be able to help. At this time, we refer clients needing medication management assistance to community mental health prescribers who specialize in psychiatry.

We work to make therapy affordable. At this time we work with most insurance carriers and accept many insurance plans. Please see the list of insurance providers that are accepted
below.Additionally, we have an affordable rate we offer for cash pay, self-pay, or uninsured clients for 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute sessions.
Therapy may be an ideal place to bridge difficult topics, but that still doesn't mean it's easy to do. Some examples of what you could bring up to your counselor include:
- Current Life Issues
- Historical Life Experiences
- Traumas
- Goals
- Hopes for the Future — regarding your mental health and emotional wellness
The more you share, the better your therapist will understand your needs, understand what happened and why, and can help you learn skills to manage the experiences you have had.
It’s also important to let your therapist know:
- If you feel like therapy is helping or not helping
- When you feel like you are making progress
- When you are ready to ask about a plan to end care as you feel better
- When you are having financial challenges
- If they have said something or did something that upset you
Therapy is a safe place to learn how to deal with difficult topics and work through challenges by asserting yourself with a person who can do it with you in a healthy way.
Telehealth therapy is an online counseling service option that allows for people to participate in therapy from the comfort of their own home. It is typically offered via video and in some cases via phone (if approved by the patient, therapist and insurance provider)
Telehealth therapy is beneficial because it offers mental health services at a convenient flexibility that allows for the services to reach individuals who dont have the ability to present to an office. This can be due to life constraints with family, work, medical issues or transportation challenges. We are here to help make care accessible.
You will have a video session with your therapist. During this time you see each other and talk with each other in a virtual face-to-face setting (similar to FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, Google meet). We use a HIPPA secure virtual portal. To connect with your therapist just log into the portal for your scheduled appointment time and once you are both logged on your session will begin.
